The Mind-Body Connection for Health

“Life and death is in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”

Bible, Book of Proverbs

With my extended experience of talking to my patients, I have seen it over and over again: a series of stressful events happens in someone’s life and becomes the likely trigger point for the start of autoimmune processes or other chronic illnesses

Perhaps to the amazement of many, there is actually a strong connection between your mind and body! While it’s still a field that requires a lot more research, we already have plenty of scientific evidence to confirm this.

Recently, I came across a brilliant speaker and author, Dr. Caroline Leaf, who is a cognitive neuroscientist and speaks to the importance of understanding what is going on in your mind (thoughts, feelings, emotions) and how this connects to your mind and body health. This is a very relevant and important topic and I encourage you to take a look at the resources she has to equip you to understand yourself and respond to life’s moments in a healthy way! Here is a link to a great blog from Dr. Leaf to get you started.

If you would like to talk more about this topic and all the ways that you can experience better and healthier you, schedule an appointment at our clinic today! It’s so important to address your health with a holistic approach.
